Lisdoonvarna’s 3rd Festive Weekend

The Third weekend of Europe’s largest matchmaking festival was full of love, romance and entertainment. Each weekend this single’s event focuses on some activities like traditional Irish dance and music, horse racing, speed dating and finishes with the “Mr. Lisdoonvarna and Queen of the Burren competition” to find the most eligible lady and gentleman of the year. The third weekend of the festival was no exception. In spite of heavy rain during the weekend the scheduled programs started on time and amazed the people. The couples appreciated and enjoyed the events and they had a great time over there. Matchmaking is an old tradition of the Irish and the small spa town of Lisdoonvarna fills itself up with love and romance during this festive season. Over the last three weekends Europe attracted thousands of love seekers from across the globe.

A film crew visited the festival in the last weekend. The interview program with the gang at the festival including Willie O’Sullivan will be broadcasted on sky channel 201 at 9pm on Thursday 22nd September, 2011. It’s a popular television show named “Out & About in Ireland”. You can see our facebook page www.facebook.com/Lisdoonvarna for competition details and for free tickets to the QClub. 1. Ross Smith says:

If you’re single and looking for a partner – don’t just go online; get yourself to Whites Hotel Group owned by Marcus White in Lisdoonvarna to mix it up with other singles that may be looking for someone just like you. Matchmaking is one of Ireland’s oldest traditions and, for the last couple of years, a good deal of which has taken place in it during September and early October.

  2. John Spence says:

All hotels and bars have music and dancing daily. Romance and craic are to be had in abundance. Why not meet the matchmaker Willie Daly in the Matchmaker Bar at the Whites Hotel Group owned by Marcus White during the actual Matchmaking Festival. The biggest ‘singles’ event in Europe and one of the oldest festivals in Ireland. The festival is concentrated on the weekends but there is also music and dancing during the week.
